Comments: I am writing this to express thanks for supporting me many years ago. In 1980 I received a scholarship form a state wide competition (I don't remember the exact title of the award). This helped me to afford my college education. This year my daughter graduated from high school so I was reminded of the events in my past. Anyway I continued my education and eventually graduated from medical school (in Nevada). I did a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in Genetics. I am now the director of the Medical Genetics Residency program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio. I am involved in the care of some of the most complex and vulnerable children cared for in the area. This woudl not have been possible if not for the support of generous Groups like the Nevada State Elks Association. I hope you know how important your contributions are to future leaders in all fields. Keep up the ggod work! Thanks again.
